Remy Lemoine’s aim is to turn curtain treatments into works of art by rewriting the traditional tieback with a new vocabulary of materials to transform it into sculpture. His collection, Passementerie d’Art, consists of out-of-the-box embraces and portes rideaux in a range of materials from plexi, mercury and Murano glass or leather to rattan and metal; each with a distinctive shape. The collection developed from his work for Bisson Bruneel’s booth at Le Biennale. |
Four Trends to Watch: |
VIE-LUXE
Is the new luxury “irresistible yet unattainable”?
Or is it the best and latest introductions
from any and all international luxury
brands? Or is it an extra hour to sleep in
the morning? With all of this defined as
luxury by today’s consumer, it’s time for
new look at the luxury market. |
 |
ICONOCLASTASTIC
At ease in almost any culture and any era,
savvy consumers feel free to pick and
choose any look, idea, style or design from
anywhere and modify it to suit their particular
needs and taste. This is much more
than just eclecticism and retro-inspired
irony and the possibilities are limitless. |

FOLLOW YOUR BLISS
Today’s consumers are willing and able to
invest their time, energy and resources in
an effort to create their ideal life. Whether
that means a fully-equipped in-home
Pilates studio, or a fully-stocked bar recreated
from one discovered in a small
Provençal town. |
 |
BALANCING ACT
Home vs. Work, Traditionalism versus
Modernism, the lines between many former opposites are blurring. Consumers are
actively looking for products and services that allow them to achieve more, balancing
their needs with their desires, their obligations with their chosen pleasures. |
